Paris: When domestic violence complaints more than tripled in the Chinese province of Hubei, Sarah McGrath feared for women in France.

The Australian expat was almost 9000 kilometres away in Paris, but she predicted a similar jump in domestic violence if France too became locked down due to the growing coronavirus threat.
